About Us

Our Journey

Busy Bees Child Care was founded in 1995 by Ms. Miriam Tallia, whose vision for quality childcare earned the trust of hundreds of families.

Today, under the leadership of Ms. Ashima and Mr. Subash Mahajan, the centre continues to grow. With over 17 years of experience in education and child development, Ms. Ashima brings deep expertise and care, while Mr. Subash supports daily operations through technology and management.

Together, they aim to provide exceptional childcare with personal attention for every child, parent, and staff member.

Why Busy Bees?

Our educators follow Ontario’s early years pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?”, which focuses on four foundations essential for optimal child development:

Strong Family Partnerships:

Parents are integral to our program, with open communication and collaboration encouraged daily.

Inclusive & Diverse

Every child, regardless of ability or background, is valued and supported.

Professional Educators

Our staff are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) who continuously engage in professional development.

Safe & Nurturing Spaces

We prioritize children’s safety, emotional security, and well-being in every activity.

Our Goal & Mission

Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable childcare that meets the needs of families and supports the holistic development of every child.

We aim to create an environment where children grow socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and linguistically through play, exploration, and guided learning.

Our goal is simple yet powerful — to support children’s desire to be lifelong learners. We celebrate diversity, promote equity, and ensure inclusion by removing barriers and offering every child equal opportunities to thrive.

Program Statement

Busy Bees operates as a licensed child care centre under the Ministry of Education. Our play-based curriculum is guided by the belief that all children are competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential.

We design programs that encourage discovery, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. Every activity — from creative art to outdoor exploration — is planned around children’s interests and developmental stages.

Our educators observe, document, and adapt learning experiences to foster self-regulation, independence, and a love for learning in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

At Busy Bees, “Care Begins Here.”
