Weekly educational field trips are a highlight of the Busy Bees Summer Camp experience — parks, nature centres, recreational facilities, museums, and other age-appropriate local destinations.
One field trip planned per week — costs included in the Summer Camp Program Fee
Parents notified in advance with full trip details, date, time, and what to bring
Written parental consent required for every field trip — no consent means no participation
Proper closed-toe footwear and sun-safe clothing required on all field trip days
Emergency medications and first aid kits accompany children on all excursions
Full teacher-child ratios maintained on all field trips at all times
The Snuggle Up Program keeps minds active and the love of reading alive — preventing the "summer slide" for every child.
Children read a book of their choice for 15 minutes, twice daily
A reading chart in each classroom records all books read by each child
Reading milestones are celebrated throughout the summer
Books available in classroom — children may also bring books from home
Educators read aloud to children at various times throughout the day
Kindergarten and School-Age children may bring personal electronics during Summer Camp only, under the following rules:

No sharing of electronics; no phones with SIM cards; internet is never available to children
Electronics removed immediately if misused — parents may request in writing that their child not use electronics
Busy Bees is not responsible for electronics that are lost, broken, or stolen. Expensive devices not recommended.
Our Licensed In-house Kitchen serves freshly cooked, nutritious Lunch and Snacks daily. The summer menu may feature seasonal items appropriate for warm weather.
